THE BUREL
History
The history of the Burel fabric dates back to the middle ages. Typically used to make shepherd's covers, the traditional technique for producing Burel is still alive today in Portugal - using the wool from sheep bred by small producers in Serra da Estrela (northern region of the country) - a true art, passed from generation to generation.
